Erika’s path into healthcare began with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University, where she developed a deep appreciation for the science of movement and human physiology. Her interest in how the body functions and adapts inspired her to pursue a career in nursing, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing at United States University, where she became a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Throughout her nursing career, Erika gained extensive experience in hospital settings, working in cardiac, stroke, oncology, and transplant units. This diverse clinical background has provided her with a strong foundation in managing acute and chronic conditions, understanding the complexities of multidisciplinary care, and supporting patients through some of the most challenging times in their health journeys. Her experience caring for patients with complex medical needs shaped her holistic, detail-oriented approach to family practice today.
Outside of the clinic, Erika enjoys hiking Arizona’s scenic trails and traveling with her husband. She carries the same passion for wellness into her personal life that she shares with her patients, believing that long-term health is best achieved through early detection and proactive lifestyle choices. Erika emphasizes the importance of balanced nutrition, regular exercise, mental well-being, and effective stress management as the foundation for total wellness. Her ultimate goal is not only to treat illness but to guide her patients toward sustainable health, balance, and vitality at every stage of life.
