Dr. George Salfity is Family Medicine Physician in Phoenix Arizona who specializes in both Hospital Medicine as well as outpatient Preventive Care. Dr. Salfity grew up in central Indiana and studied biology at Wabash College, graduating in 2009. During medical school at the Ross University, he was able to travel to Vietnam where he helped established educational partnerships and provided health care to undeserved communities. Dr. Salfity pursued a Family Medicine Residency at the Community Health Network in Central Indiana. There he won the Jane R Richter Award for outstanding teaching ability as well as the John and Marna Black Award for exceptional compassion and patient care. After completing his residency, he and his wife moved to Phoenix Arizona. He currently is working as a hospitalist for Abrazo West. He is a part of the Teaching Facility at Abrazo’s Internal Medicine Residency Program, as well as an internist at multiple subacute nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers in the greater Phoenix area. In his free time Dr. Salfity enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching baseball, golfing and hiking.
